High-current insulation resistance tester

Need to test high-voltage electrical equipment? The 5 kV insulation resistance testers from Megger are designed to assist electricians with the testing and maintenance of high-voltage electrical equipment.

Noise rejection of 2 mA rms at 200 V enables the instrument to take effective readings in high noise environments such as high-voltage substations and switchyards. The instruments drive 5 mA of short circuit current, which allows for faster charging and testing of large capacitive and inductive loads.

Additional features include:

  • Mains or battery powered;
  • Digital/analog backlit display;
  • Variable test voltage from 50 to 5000 V;
  • Automatic IR, PI, DAR, SV and DD tests;
  • Measures to 15 TΩ;
  • RS232 and USB download of results.
