The Electrophysics HotShot-HD combines a high-definition thermal imaging camera with a PDA-type touch screen and QWERTY keyboard for data entry and data-logging functions.

The instrument features 640 x 480 image resolution, dual-laser hotspot highlighter and image fusion to assist focusing on hot spots, 500°C temperature range, 500:1 measurement spot ratio, visible light camera and route-based inspection functionality where routes can be learned by the camera for surveys.

Built-in software enables reports to be generated on site, in camera from image file data, using the keyboard and data entry features, eliminating double entry back in the office. The file holds the radiometric image and temperature analysis, visible image, inspection details such as location, equipment description, diagnosis recommendation, severity code and comments.

The automatic report generation removes traditional manual data collection and collating procedures to generate comprehensive reports for compliance testing and inspection and asset management.
