The Hioki 8400 is a compact 30-channel data logger that is field expandable to 60 channels. The instrument operates on either AC power or batteries and can be controlled and provide data output via LAN or web browser, making it suitable for deployment in engineering and field applications.
The unit has 16 MB internal memory that can be expanded through flash cards and USB storage devices.
A fast sampling rate down to 10 ms and a high withstand voltage (300 VAC and DC) with respect to ground enables the device to record parameters such as cell voltage of a battery bank.
Flash cards and other storage devices can be removed during the data storage operation and replaced with devices during large data collection periods lasting months or longer. Data protection is built in to the data logger to provide a high level of security for the integrity of measurements.
Individual channel inputs can be selected for voltage, resistance and thermocouples making the logger suitable for applications including relative humidity measurements as well as voltage and impedance parameters.
Data collection can be triggered in analog fashion (rising, falling and window) and also via pulse, time event and logical combinations of channels.
