IR windows for thermographers

Monday, 31 August, 2009 | Supplied by: Fluke Australia Pty Ltd

The Fluke Hawk C range of IR windows is designed to make thermography safer and complement the full range of Fluke thermal imagers including the TI25, TI40FT and TI50FT.

The IR windows are designed for use by switchgear manufacturers, utilities, petrochemical and any heavy electrical power users to allow thermographers to carry out thermal imaging and inspection with any camera on live and fully energised electrical installations without opening panel doors and covers.

The IR windows are engineered to withstand electric-arcs up to 50 kA for 30 cycles and feature ‘Clirvu’ coating that seals the optic prior to assembly to protect against moisture degradation, ‘Fluke IR-Fusion’-compatible ‘Quadraband’ multi-spectral optics to enable thermographers to see potential problems both ways and an identification plate for unique, on-site numbering to facilitate rapid location confirmation and faster repairs.

The windows are supplied as complete kits that include a security access key, installation instructions and a self-adhesive drilling template.
