Luminaire EMC tester

Tuesday, 01 April, 2008 | Supplied by: Westek Electronics Pty Ltd

The AFJ test system is designed to test both electronic and traditional ballasted luminaires, including those with switch-type starter circuits, measuring conducted and radiated interference effects.

The tester uses a super heterodyne measurement receiver, which includes peak, quasi-peak and AV detectors, corrected pulse weighting, measuring bandwidths of 200 Hz, 9 kHz and 120 kHz, AM and FM demodulation, tracking generator and insertion loss measurement.

An in-built pulse limiter/attenuator protects the instrument from spikes that might occur during conducted interference tests.

The instrument can be remotely accessed via LAN and internet for remote control of turntables and antenna masts, online calibration and firmware upgrades.
