Megger digital earth resistance testers

Tuesday, 01 July, 2008 | Supplied by: Megger Limited

The Megger range of digital earth resistance testers has been extended to include a model powered from rechargeable batteries and versions with variable test frequency.

The maximum resistance that can be measured has also been increased ten-fold for all models. For applications requiring versatility, the DET4TC2 tester is powered from standard AA batteries, while the DET4TCR2 tester uses rechargeable batteries. The DET4TCR2 has an integral charger and is supplied complete with a mains adapter.

The instruments support 2-, 3- and 4-pole testing, as well as attached rod technique (ART), stakeless, leakage current and earth noise voltage measurement. They also allow users to select the test frequency from 94, 105, 111 and 128 Hz.

The DET4TD2 and DET4TR2 testers are new to the range and fully support 2-, 3- and 4-pole earth resistance test methods.
