Schneider Electric PowerLogic PM5350 power meter

Schneider Electric has added the PowerLogic PM5350 power meter to its range of meters.The meter has a comprehensive measurement package, language customisation, tamper-resistant revenue seals and alarm capabilities.

The PM5350’s display presents meter data in languages such as Chinese - which may facilitate effective decision-making taken according to local readings. Readings in English are not truncated and are easy to understand.

Two relay outputs may eliminate the need for an additional relay switch to command circuit breakers, while four wetted digital inputs remove the need for external power supply. The 44 mm compact design makes the meter suitable for space-limited areas. Installation is fast and simple as the meter has only two mounting clips, and set-up is easy with one button starting installation. Flexible parameter resets allow users to choose between a global reset and a single parameter reset.

Complying with the European standard IEC 61557-12 as PMD/S/K70/0.5, the meter has accuracy of 0.5% for all measurements, not just active energy, and for a temperature range from -25 to 70°C.

The measurement package includes total harmonic distortion, volts, current, neutral current, power (real, apparent and reactive), power factor, frequency, demand, active and reactive energy, percent voltage unbalance and percent current unbalance.

Its accuracy and measurements help users reliably participate in load-shedding activities, sub-billing and cost allocation efforts, remote monitoring of electrical installations and circuit breaker monitoring and control.

The meter’s single PCB design improves the meter’s longevity, and sealable wiring covers protect wiring connections and personnel from live connections.
