Current sensing relay

Wednesday, 26 March, 2008 | Supplied by: NAW Controls

The RIB range of current sensing relays are enclosed solid core devices designed for sensing loads and switching control circuits, effectively replacing the need for pressure and flow switches. They can be mounted externally from the control cabinet and therefore save time on wiring.

These devices are now mandatory in smoke spill fan control circuits, where critical sensing of loads is required. They can sense loads from 0.25 to 150 A and are available either as fixed or adjustable, with the adjustable unit having two LEDs, to indicate under and over trip points.

Units are available with or without flying leads and can also be supplied to operate with 4-20 mA signal outputs. All units have a removable mounting tab and clamp around the cable that is being sensed to lock itself into position.
