Variable-speed drives

The VS1MX frequency inverter drives for AC motors is designed to reduce energy costs in automation for common applications such as fan and pump control, as well as in clean-area processing in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Applications using motors in direct-online configurations often run at full speed, so reducing the speed also reduces energy consumption. In cases like centrifugal fan and pump applications, a 20% reduction in speed can save up to 50% energy.

The drives are available in a range of housings, from standard IP55-rated industrial types to dust- and splash-proof versions and full washdown duty IP66-rated variants.

The drive range includes both single- and three-phase versions, for motor control power requirements from 0.37 to 7.5 kW. A Modbus RTU communications port is a standard fitting.

Panel-mounted interfaces allow the drives to be controlled in 45 parameters, supporting the programming of complex applications; however, the first menu level presents a subset that allows the most common applications, such as motor voltage/current/frequency/speed, maximum/minimum speed, preset speed and acceleration/deceleration ramp to be set up in minutes.
