The 2012 Rockwell Automation on the Move (RAOTM) event will offer plenty of opportunities for visitors to see, hear and interact with industry experts, hands-on labs and displays.

This year’s focus is on demonstrating how combining automation, process control and safety control to provide integrated, plantwide systems can optimise business operations and leverage opportunities in the marketplace. Visitors can learn about solutions to ensure quality and safety, reduce unscheduled downtime and optimise operating costs.

RAOTM will be held in Melbourne on 6-7 March 2012, in Sydney on 2-3 May, Brisbane on 22-23 May and Perth on 6-7 June. Rockwell will reveal full details of the Safety Forum in the coming months. The Sydney and Melbourne venues will also host a special event alongside the RAOTM - the Safety Automation Forum. The forum will feature electrical safety techniques and technologies that enhance safety for personnel and equipment.

The free two-day event at Melbourne Park Function Centre will be huge: more than 1400 m2 of display space and three dedicated lecture rooms for presentations and interactive workshops.

There’s even a sandpit. NHP, Rockwell’s distributor for Australia and New Zealand, will have a display area at the Melbourne event. It will have specialised Micro 800 PLC masterclasses and the NHP Zone will feature a ‘technology sandpit’.

Other key areas will include the Rockwell Automation integrated architecture solution for network connectivity, PlantPAx, power solutions, intelligent motor controls, software applications, and service and solutions information kiosks.
