AusIndustry hosts Clean Technology Investment Programs information sessions
$1 billion worth of funding is available for manufacturers and business operators under the government’s Clean Technology Investment Program.
AusIndustry is hosting a series of information sessions to help manufacturers and business operators learn how to apply for assistance under the programs. AusIndustry officers and policy experts will be available at the sessions, offering face-to-face contact and advice to those interested in applying.
The government’s Clean Energy Future package has allocated $800 million to the Clean Technology Investment Program and $200 million to the Clean Technology Food and Foundries Investment Program.
The programs provide funding to help manufacturers transition to a low carbon economy and invest in energy-efficient capital equipment and low-emissions technologies, processes and products.
According to a media release from Clean Energy Future, not only are these changes good for individual businesses, but also for the manufacturing industry generally, as “they will help secure the future of manufacturing in this country and move us towards a clean energy future”. Implementing energy-efficient equipment and using low-emissions technologies, processes and products can help businesses reduce costs and gain a competitive advantage, the media release said.
