ABB will showcase digital solutions designed to improve efficiencies, lower operating costs and enhance competitive advantage at its inaugural ABB Customer World – Australia event.

Under the theme ‘From Innovation to Transformation’, the company will showcase its latest industrial and digital solutions for customers across the utilities, industries, transport and infrastructure sectors.

To be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre on 15 March 2018, the event will feature innovations that advance the digital grid of the future and integration of renewable energy, intelligent manufacturing along with software-defined machines to smart sensors, cloud services and smart buildings.

National and international speakers, including ABB Group Senior Vice President Digital Otto Preiss, will outline the impact of digitalisation on the bottom line and how the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and ABB Ability solutions can drive operational excellence.

The important topic of ‘How to achieve 50% renewable energy without comprising grid stability’ will provide an ideal platform for a lively debate during the morning plenary session. Leaders in industry, utilities and government will feature and initiate discussion about the policy setting and technologies needed to maintain reliable power supply and help Australia grow its economy while meeting its international commitments to emission reduction.
