Eaton appoints new MD for ANZ Electrical Business

Power management company Eaton has appointed Gordon Makryllos as managing director - Australia/New Zealand for the company’s electrical business. Based in Sydney, Makryllos will be responsible for leading the business through its next phase of growth and propelling its sales and marketing presence.

Makryllos has held several senior management positions with Schneider Electric, Telstra and IBM.  Most recently, he was managing director for Orange Business Services where he was responsible for spearheading growth for the company’s range of cloud computing, unified communications and security services.

“This is an exciting time to lead the Eaton electrical business in Australia and New Zealand and to partner with the industry to meet the critical power management challenges of both today and the future. Makryllos holds an MBA from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of New South Wales and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
