Gartner names Schneider Electric 'visionary'
Schneider Electric has been named ‘visionary’ in a report that analysed commercial geographic information system (GIS) solutions supporting electric, water and gas utility networks from Gartner.
The report, “Magic Quadrant for Utilities Geographic Information Systems,” written by Gartner analyst Randy Rhodes, examined the strengths and cautions of geospatial solutions offered by five global providers of commercial GIS solutions supporting electric, water and gas utility networks.
Schneider Electric is positioned furthest for its ArcFM solution on the ‘completeness of vision’ axis in the Magic Quadrant. The company is an Esri partner, taking advantage of their platform that fully supports cloud, mobility, and social and continuous advancements.
According to John Leiferman, Schneider Electric senior vice president of Cloud Services, “We are proud to have been placed in the Visionaries Quadrant for our ArcFM solution in the widely-respected Gartner Magic Quadrant report. GIS is the cornerstone of asset tracking for many utilities across the world, and we continue to strive to help make operations safer, more efficient and more reliable.”
