New Zealand company Ecopoint has won the Top Supplier award from HAILI, one of its Chinese customers. Wellington-based Ecopoint specialises in LED lighting solutions.

HAILI is one of China’s largest refrigeration manufacturers. The company’s core business is the design and manufacture of commercial refrigeration equipment, including cold setting machines, cold mixing machines, commercial refrigerated cabinets and commercial refrigeration display cabinets. HAILI awarded Ecopoint a Gold Award, rating the company number 1 for product quality, number 1 for delivery and number 1 for ease of doing business.

“We are really thrilled to receive this award. It is really unheard of to receive recognition like this from a Chinese company, let alone one that is such a big player in the refrigeration business. It just goes to show that New Zealand companies can do well in China. We are a New Zealand-based business, producing our lights in China and then selling them to the Chinese!” said Paul Wilton, Ecopoint’s founder and director.

Ecopoint focuses on the manufacture and supply of quality energy-efficient LED lighting solutions. Its range of LED lighting solutions is growing and evolving as LED technology rapidly develops. At present, the core range comprises an array of tubes, including those designed specifically for refrigeration, as well as panels, floodlights, street lights, all-purpose bulbs, high bays and low bays. The entire range is mercury- and UV-free, RoHS compliant and approved to Australia and New Zealand safety standards.

In claiming accolades from HAILI, Ecopoint beat out other suppliers including Philips, ACC Compressors, Danfoss, EMBRACO, Elstat, ADDA, Schaffner and Carel.

“We are really proud to have been recognised in this way. It is great that our efforts to grow the company are paying off. We look forward to continuing to grow our business both in China and locally,” Wilton concluded.
