New headquarters and State Manager for Master Electricians Australia

Master Electricians Australia (MEA) has been busy, appointing Jody McGann as the new State Manager and officially opening its new headquarters in Parramatta.

MEA held an open day on 16 March for members and suppliers to see the new offices and meet staff.

“One of the benefits of these offices for members is that we offer a fully equipped professional boardroom for their business use,” said McGann.

“Tradies often have their office based at home, so when they need to conduct a serious meeting we’ve made this space available for them so they won’t have to hold strategic talks at their kitchen table.

“Outside of this additional service, though, MEA membership is so valuable because it accredits only the best electrical contractors across the country. We work to raise the standards and safety of electrical contractors which provides a tangible differentiation in the market place.”

MEA is hoping to expand its membership in NSW and the ACT, a task McGann is leading.

“My vision is to position the Master Electricians brand at the forefront of a consumer’s mind when they are looking to have electrical work undertaken,” McGann said. “I’ll be working at a grassroots level and directly implementing measures to grow our membership base. I’ll help raise the bar on safety in the electrical industry and ensure the sustainability of that industry.”

Acknowledging the risks involved in the electrical trade, McGann said, “safety should take priority over profits and deadlines to ensure that everyone is afforded that right to go home without harm.”
