Schneider Electric integrates all Pacific operations

Wednesday, 17 December, 2008

Schneider Electric has announced that it will combine its core Australian operations with its Engineered Services division and specialist subsidiaries Citect and NuLec to form one entity as of 1 January 2009.

Trading as Schneider Electric Australia, the new entity will have three divisions: Automation, Power and ISC (Installation Systems and Control).

The Automation division will integrate the Citect Oceania and Schneider Electric Automation teams, becoming one of the largest automation companies in the Pacific. It will provide integrated hardware and software solutions including MES, SCADA, PLCs, drives and services.

The Power division will result from the combination of Schneider Electric Australia’s Electrical Distribution business, Engineered Services division and its specialist medium-voltage overhead distribution system subsidiary NuLec. It will focus on software, services and energy-efficiency solutions for the mining, industrial, infrastructure, building and energy markets.

The ICS division will continue to trade under the Clipsal, PDL, EES and Moduline brands.

Schneider Electric’s range of products and solutions, including CitectSCADA software, will continue to be fully available via its distributors to all existing customers.
