Technology industry leaders team up

The Information Technology Professionals Association (ITPA), an industry body for IT professionals, and longstanding IT media channel Technology Decisions have joined forces to promote and grow the IT sector in Australia.

ITPA is focused on continual learning, which will form a focal point of the alliance that kicks off on 1 August. The Technology Decisions team will help market and promote ITPA endorsed courses and events — not only to members but to the broader IT sector.

Technology Decisions, a sister publication of ECD, is one of 12 specialist media brands under the WF Media umbrella.

The alliance will see WF Media launching a new fortnightly newsletter for the nearly 19,000 ITPA members. An ITPA ‘zone’ will be added to www.TechnologyDecisions.com.au and will house all the newsletter content, promote ITPA membership benefits and link to the ITPA website. WF Media will continue to produce the weekly Technology Decisions eNewsletter, which is broadcast to over 5000 subscribers each week.

The WF Media team will also work with the ITPA board to launch a new series of breakfast seminar events across the country, commencing in October this year.

“This partnership opens up new opportunities to promote ITPA membership benefits and to access a broader audience, not to mention providing us with a more robust, responsive eNewsletter platform, driven by experts in the IT media field,” said ITPA President Robert Hudson.

“We are excited to be working with the fastest growing IT industry association in Australia and look forward to building a solid media and events platform with Robert and his committed ITPA board,” said Geoff Hird, Publisher and Managing Director at WF Media.

ITPA members will receive the first release of their new eNewsletter, The Download, the first week of August and will further benefit from access to a depth of business technology content and resources on www.TechnologyDecisions.com.au.

The ITPA alliance follows similar agreements established by WF Media over the past 18 months with leading industry bodies and associations. Media partnership deals are currently in place between Safety Solutions and NSCA Foundation, Pool+Spa and SPASA, and GovTech Review and Public Sector Network.
